Am I ready for this?
15 January 2007I am waiting for my passport to arrive, and I am running around trying to get everything together. How am I going to get everything done? For one thing, I don’t even know what all it is that I need to get done!
One things I am planning to do is go around to all of the businesses in this area to ask for formula donations. Today is a holiday, and while I don’t mind holidays to badly, I never get them off work so they are generally more of a bother - especially when the post office is closed. I won’t complain though, I have far to many blessings to worry about little things like businesses being closed. I really ought to be working more on time management. I don’t think I can make more hours appear in a day, and I sure need more time to work with.
My brother Benjamin helped me set up this blog yesterday, which was very sweet of him, because he knows I know how to do it. He just felt like helping out I guess. (Thanks Benj!) We were working on setting up a “Verse of the Day” feed, but it hasn’t been really easy yet. Probably get it soon enough.
As far as what I’ve been doing to prepare for my journey goes, I’m making two new dresses with my friend Minnie. (I figure dresses will simplify my laundry vs. bringing all skirts and shirts) I’ve almost finished the first one. I’m only going to bring 5 sets of clothing, because there will be more room for forumla etc. this way. I also want to bring home some supplies like Coffee, Fabric and maybe varias other things I find interesting.
Some supplies we have recieved so far are:
Two cans of infant formula
Two boxes of baby cereal
One box of plastic bottle liners
It’s a start! Praise the Lord, he will multiply it!
I have also recieved two gifts of $10, and 2 gifts of $20.
